Frequently asked questions
How many m² does a liter of paint cover?
One liter of emulsion paint covers between 8 and 12 m² per coat, depending on quality and surface type. Premium paints cover better and go further.
How many coats of paint do I need?
Two coats are usually enough for a uniform finish. New surfaces or very dark colors may need a primer coat first.
The Paint Formula
Surface = (2 x length + 2 x width) x height - doors - windows. Liters = (surface x coats) ÷ coverage. For example, a 5x4 m room with 2.5 m height and two coats needs about 8-9 liters at 10 m²/L.
